She may never have envisioned that one day there would be different educational tracks resulting in multiple degrees and disciplines in nursing, each having their own set of criteria for excellence.Associate degree nurse (ADN) and baccalaureate degree nurse (BSN) are the two most common entry level nursing positions. An ADN can be obtained in two or three years whereas the BSN takes four years of education to complete due to additional courses. Differences between the degrees begin with education and mature as the nurse gains experience. Raines and Taglaireni’s (2008) article states ADN and BSN nurses attend the same basic liberal arts and general education courses such as English, literature, history, math, humanities, and arts.Both ha ve basic nursing courses, the same technical skill sets are taught, and nurses must pass the same National Council Licensing Examination for RNs (NCLEX-RN ©) which measures minimum technical competency for entry-level nursing practice. Colleges will differ in the exact requirements for each degree but the community college ADN program consists of approximately 75 course credits of which 38 are science and liberal arts prerequisites, and 37 credits are in the nursing major.The four-year college and university BSN program consists of approximately 124 credit hours of which 62 are in liberal arts and sciences prerequisites, and 62 are in the nursing major. BSN coursework has more in depth study for nursing research, informatics, management, and technology. These additional courses put more emphasis on theory, developing critical thinking skills, and leadership skills. The increased emphasis on theory and communication builds collaborative decision-making skills. In ADN courses nurses learn how to do patient care nursing tasks but not as much time is spent on the why of nursing nterventions. Nurses, regardless of educational background, must understand nursing care, perform nursing tasks, and conduct themselves professionally. These competencies are measurable or observable knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors critical to successful job performance. When first entering the workforce differences in ADN and BSN competencies are not readily seen. According to the secondary analysis of the 1999 RN Practice Analysis by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing differences in the averages between ADN and BSN educated nurses were negligible (Smith, 2002).Pay rates are usually even when the nurses first enter the workforce but as experience is obtained BSN nurses earn higher salaries, usually when they move into leadership positions. Based on a personal experience, in one magnet hospital ADN nurses were only able to have Registered Nurse II status regardles s of years of experience. After only one year of working experience BSN educated nurses were able to become Registered Nurse III status, which paid five dollars an hour more.With that extra pay came other responsibilities such as setting up educational programs for the staff meetings and developing evidence-based research trials on the nursing unit. As the nurse gains experience and strives towards upward mobility in the organization, the differences become evident as hospitals and governing agencies are demanding BSN educated nurses. BSN is becoming the minimum requirement for administrative, research, consulting, and teaching positions. Also, for a nurse to achieve advanced practice nursing specialty a nurse must first have a BSN before being admitted to a master’s program.This means the ADN educated nurse will not achieve the same level of pay, responsibilities or opportunities as a BSN educated nurse. People are admitted to the hospital with more complex health conditions and co-morbidities than ever before. Hospitals are looking for ways to decrease adverse patient outcomes and increase patient safety. McHugh and Lake cited a 2003 study where researchers found that staff nurses with a BSN degree to be significant predictors of patient outcomes. It is thought that the more educated nurses used critical thinking skills and better judgment, which in turn provided higher patient care (McHugh et al. 2010). Assessment skills must be very sharp and nurses with knowledge in theory are able to ask patient questions that hone in on the patient’s problems. As a result better clinical decisions are made regarding patient care plans. On some hospital units every nurse takes a turn at being a charge nurse and on other units only the BSN-educated nurses are charge nurses. Personal experience has shown there is a difference in patient assignments. The BSN charge nurses used more discernment when judging the acuity of patients and the skills of the nurses on the unit.Patient assignments were more evenly distributed to nurses thereby providing higher quality of patient care. A recent study showed BSN prepared nurses had an impact on lower surgical patient mortality and failure to rescue because those nurses used better critical thinking skills and clinical judgment (McHugh et al. , 2010). According to Ward-Smith (2012), a 10% increase in BSN-educated nurses decreased the odds of patients dying by 4%. McHugh et al. (2010) also noted that nurses learned from each other and having nurses on staff that attained a BSN or higher education resulted in more expertise among all staff.Staff nurses desire an environment that allows them to have more autonomy in decision-making, a voice in how the unit and hospital are governed, and participative management. When hospitals made advances in these three areas, nurse retention was improved (Gormley, 2011). Magnet hospital criteria demands more BSN nurses and studies show where the majority of staff nu rses are BSN-prepared, they viewed their work environment as positive and quality of patient care higher. Nurse Managers with higher education are better equipped with interpersonal skills and the educational knowledge to create positive work environments for staff RNs.Nurses in positive work environments may be in a better position to deliver high quality, safe patient care (Zori, Nosek, & Musil, 2010). The play says many things about marriage.   One is that marriage can be quite complicated when there is deceit even if the feelings involved are genuine.   Another is that there are so many trivial things that society considers â€Å"important† that disregards the true meaning of marriage.   Another is that parental consent and money still play an important role in matrimony. 2. What is the significance of the names? The word Earnest means sincere. However, the play showed how that sincerity is downplayed by the many trivial things that society expects from individuals.   Ms. Prism’s name is also significant because it was her character that finally shed light on the true background of Jack – who later became truly Earnest. 3. Suggest some of the things that Wilde is poking fun at in this play. Wilde made fun of the way women can be so assuming of relationships as can be seen with Cecily’s account of how she and Algy became engaged and how Gwendolyn fled from her mother to go to Jack.   The author also made fun of the way society can be deceived by many aspects of a person beside his true self (e.g. names and money).   This was especially evident in the way the name Earnest became so important that Algy and Jack had wanted to be re-baptized with it. Definition First of all, one must know what the definition of an organisations responsibility is. An organisations responsibility is the ethical behaviour of an organisation when conducting or running its business. Organisations responsibility can also be referred as corporate social responsibility, sustainable responsible business, corporate social performance, corporate citizenship or responsible business. So why is it important to act in an ethical manner? The answer is simple. In todays world, acting in an unethical manner is highly frowned upon by the society. People are more educated right now and are more aware. If an organisation does not comply in ethical behaviour, they might not only lose customers but they might even not even get employees who are willing to work for the organisation. Being Ethically Responsible Being ethical is easier said than done. There is no absolute definition of what is ethical and what is not. In a broader sense, ethical can be defined as a fair and morally correct behaviour. However, what maybe morally right to one individual may not be in the eye of another. At the same time, the main purpose of an organisation is to earn profit; hence it is questionable whether an organisation can solely run on moral grounds. The Western philosophers classified ethics into three parts: Virtuous acts such as acts of justice, charity work and generous efforts done for the betterment of the society A rational individuals moral duty towards another rational individual The principle of guidance that shows the path that benefits or produce the best form of happiness to the wider society Ethic is something very subjective. Due to this, the value of ethic differs in depending on region, ethnic and era. However, more than implicated rules, opinions of a larger group of individuals have more impact on the society. After all, without an individuals own sense of morality, he would not feel the obligation to follow the rules and regulations. Hence, it is absolutely very important not to undermine the importance of the ethical value in life. Let us now look at ethical in terms of business. In order to run an ethical business, it is crucial to invest the money in an ethical manner. This is because, in order to successfully make a profit out of a large investment, it is subjected to the market forces which are greatly influenced by the public opinion. Ethical investment started gaining popularity since the 1970s but the very first ethical businesses can be traced back into the 1800s. In traditional method of business, their main target is to solely earning profits regardless of the consequences. However, an ethically running business concentrates on HOW the organisation earns the profit. Types The ethical way of handling business seeks to maximise profits while avoiding as much as negative effects as possible. Some may be due to the technological change, where the product was made safer for usage or sometimes due to a change in peoples opinion. Ethics and Law Many people have this mistaken believe that what is ethical is lawful but this not true. In reality this is far from the truth. What may be ethical may not be lawful or vice versa. Many a times, there were cases when people of old times and even at the modern time where they feel that the laws are oppressing them. Cases such as encouraging slavery, outrageously high taxes, unfair legal systems and such can go against the moral codes of certain individuals. If they have a strong and large group to go against certain laws they are not happy about, they can put pressure to these laws and make a change. These kinds of cases are known as when ethical or moral code is placed above laws, where the power of ethic has more power than law. Fighting for the greater good though it is going against the law is not seen as unethical. Hence it can be concluded that not all ethical or moral codes are lawful or not all unethical acts are considered unlawful. Ethics and Religion In many peoples point of view, ethical judgement is primarily based on religious beliefs. However as convenient as it can be, especially religion does teach you a sense of morality and correct behaviour, it still not a very solid base to build the base to build an organisations ethical behaviour. There are numerous reasons for this issue. The primary problem is the diversification of religion and peoples belief. If religion is used when it comes to decision making in an organisation, there will definitely be a conflict due to difference in peoples opinion. There were many cases also, sadly, when people use the name of religion as a safety net if anything goes wrong. A business needs making decision based on logic, not on faith and belief. Hence, it is not a very appropriate approach to use religious ways to conduct a business. Ethics and Public Opinion Just like the case of law and religion, ethical standards are not wholly decided on the view of majority. There are cases when the majoritys view can be unreliable: When the group of people are poorly informed of the situation When people start basing decisions on instinct instead of logic Majority of the decisions made in an organisation are decided after consulting the experts in the various fields who are obviously more informed then the public view who are not as aware as the happenings around that area. This is not to say that public opinion will be overlooked. Fair chances will be given to the public to have their say and their point of view. However, the final decision will be the one which should be the most appropriate for that certain issue. She appreciates the small things in life and respects what she has. Although she is old, she has extremely dark hair, wears a red bandana, and has much "life" within her: Her skin had a pattern all its own of numberless branching wrinkles and as though a whole little tree stood in the middle of her forehead, but a golden color ran underneath, and the two knobs of her cheeks were illumined by a yellow burning under the bark. I thought I could catch up with all the time I missed during the last six weeks of last year. I was out of the end of the season last year from a torn muscle in my hip. I knew I was weak and out of shape compared to the other players that were going to be on the team next season. I pushed myself very hard for the first couple of weeks. Because I worked myself so hard I began to slowly push it away from my to do list.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  I started to set my sets and repetitions lower and lower till I just wasn’t doing it anymore. I had that whole summer that I was really looking forward to. I wanted to come back the next season and be in better shape then I’ve ever been. I also wanted to show my coach that I never quit not even in my off-season. That wasn’t the way it went though. I wasted time and a lot of it. I wasted time with weight lifting and also a jumping program that I got that guaranteed a 10-12 inch gain in my vertical jump. The last few weeks of the summer my friend invited me to lift with him. That really inspired us to keep working hard. The first day of school, our coach saw the changes in the both of us. He new we had been working hard and he admired that. I started to get mad at myself for not doing what I should have been instead of sitting around all summer playing video games. Cross Cultural Beliefs About the Afterlife Essay

Abstract A study of American undergraduates indicated that the beliefs about the nature of life after death were quite complicated. A 41-item questionnaire produced 12 independent groups of beliefs. Belief in an internal locus of control and that one’s life is owned by God were associated with a more positive view of the afterlife, as was being Roman Catholic rather than Protestant. The most common beliefs were that one is reunited with family and friends, that the afterlife is comforting, that there is Heaven and that the transition is peaceful, all believed by more than 90 percent of the students. The afterlife is an idea that the conscious or mind of a being continuous after physical death occurs. There are many different believes about how the afterlife will be and what effects that outcome. In many popular views, this continued existence often takes place in an immaterial or spiritual realm. Major views on the afterlife derive from religion. Deceased people are usually believed to go to a specific planet after death. Regardless of the lack of evidence that is typically believed to be determined by a God. This is based on their actions during physical life. In contrast, the term reincarnation refers to an afterlife in which only the â€Å"essence† of the being is preserved, and the â€Å"afterlife† is another life on Earth or possibly within the same universe. Lester, Aldrige, Aspenberg, Boyle, Radsniak, and Waldron (2001-2002) based their research proposal on what Flynn and Kunkel (1987) found. Flynn and Kunkel (1987) used data from about one thousand respondents in the 1983 from a General Social Survey to analyze beliefs that the people had for life after death. They found three groups of beliefs. One is Otherworldly: life of peace, tranquility, paradise of pleasure and delight, loving intellectual communication, union with god and reunion with loved ones. Worldly Rewards: life of intense action like it is here on earth but a paradise of pleasure and delight. The third group was No Rewards: life without many earthly joys, a pale, shadowy sort of life, spiritually involving mind and not the body. The researchers found that the type of belief held about life-after-death was related to social class, financial status, and a history of trauma. No recent studies were identified on this issue until Lester et al. (2001-2002). The designing of this study was made to explore and expand the beliefs that people held about life-after-death. They used a 21-item questionnaire of the concepts of the afterlife. In the first method the questionnaire was given to 50 students who were enrolled in social science undergraduate courses. The mean age was 23.8 years old and the participants were mainly white. In the first method nine factors ever extracted about beliefs about afterlife. There were three major findings from the research that was obtained. One was that 19.8 percent accounted for that the life is much like the life on earth. There is a good and an evil. Not everyone is equal and that there are material objects in the afterlife. 13.4 percent accounted for that the cause of death, rituals carried out for you, the physical and psychotically state at death has an effect on how the afterlife would be. Lastly 8.5 percent accounted for the belief that the afterlife is a specific place, there is a day of judgment, and there is eternal bliss and that that is the final destinations. The second method was designed to enlarge properties, increase sample size and explore other personality correlates of beliefs, specifically belief on external locus of control. The research study consisted of 152 male and180 female participants who were undergraduate students from the same state college as the participants in the first method. The second method was expanded into a 41-item questionnaire. The mean age in the second method was 22.5 years old and the participants were mainly white. In this method twelve factors were identified about beliefs about afterlife. Three of the major factors were that 12.1 percent believe in Heave and Hell. 7.9 percent believe in reincarnation and 6.6 percent believed that there ate material objects and sexual desire in the after life. The gender differences that were found are that men are not less likely to believe in afterlife but they were less likely to believe in Heaven, reuniting with loved ones, communication with the living and request for forgiveness before death. Men were more likely the women to believe that there are material objects, that spirits have human form, that there is pain, hunger, thirst and that rituals carried out after death are important. The religious differences they found were that Protestant students were less likely to believe in life-after-death then Roman Catholic students. On the other hand, Protestant students were more likely to believe that there is Hell and that forgiveness needs to be requested to get into Heaven.One of the strengths that this article has is that they provided a broad hypothesis. It was not specific and that gave them more room to play around with how they want to test the beliefs on life-after-death. They basically just wanted to explore from what was found in previous search on the afterlife and find more detailed data. Another strengths in this article were the specific questions that the participants were asked about their beliefs in the afterlife. The researchers made the questions into simple yes or no answer kinds. This made it easier for the participants to answer what they believe in about the afterlife and it also made it easier and clearer for the researchers to extract the exact data that they were looking for. Also the researchers conducted two methods. There were extra questions that were added also. This helped the researchers find other specific beliefs. Overall, having two methods gives a better view of what data is best to keep and present. The first weakness of this article is that the date was only consumed from one specific university. This has a major limit on how this data will be taken into account by others. When data is taken only from one part of he country it limits how credible the findings are and how they can be used in future research. Another weakness is that the researchers only conducted a questionnaire in their method to finding data on beliefs about the afterlife. Another weakness is that the sample size was small in the first method. It may be hard to compare data between method one and method two because they have significant difference in sample size. Lastly, a major weakness would be the data expenditure of only undergraduate students with mean ages of 23.8 and 22.5 within the two methods verses consuming data from many different age groups. Cross-cultural research on beliefs about the afterlife is one of the major directions that can be taken with this research topic just as it was done by: Ambwani, Warren, Gleaves, Benito and Fernandez (2007) in their research on fear of fatness across the world. The data they conducted showed differences in beliefs on what body shape is socially acceptable in the United Sates verses Spain. There are so many different religions, cultures and individual beliefs regarding how life should be lived and what will come out of that. Some religions do not believe in the afterlife at all and some believe that this life is just a test for what will be the ever-lasting life after death. These differences need to be taken into considerations and research on more to further our understanding about all the cultures in our environments. Another future directions that can be taken with beliefs about the afterlife can be of great importance to the medical fields in research. Patients that have experienced trauma in their lives may have very important data that can help understand why people may have the different thoughts and beliefs about how the afterlife will and what will be in it. Research Purpose Cross-cultural Research would be a key direction to take beliefs about afterlife on. This would assess the differences in beliefs about afterlife beyond America. Cross-cultural research is beneficial because it covers a much wider range of variations in cultural activities then other studies that are based on single societies. For this particular subject on afterlife a comparison between America and Croatia will be done. The cultural differences about what beliefs individuals hold will be taken. The purpose is to show how different cultures may have different dynamics in how they believe their life had effected the belief they hold on afterlife. Croatians compared to Americans on average will believe in afterlife more. Another proposal is to test participants that have experienced trauma verses participants that have not experienced trauma. This would show how experience of trauma can affect a person view on life and how they may feel about afterlife. For this particular research it would show the difference been the two countries and between experience with trauma and experience with no trauma. On average participants that have experienced trauma will have a greater belief in afterlife verses participants with no experience with trauma. Research Methods The budget for this research proposal is 12,000.00 dollars. There are 400 participants to which 20.00-dollar Starbucks gift card will be given. That is 400Ãâ€"20, which equals 8,000.00 dollars. The money for the Starbucks gift cards will be transferred from here to Zagreb Croatia trough Bank of America free of charge. There are also four research assistants. Two native speaking Croatians that also speak English from the University of Zagreb and two Americans from Oakland University. Each of the assistants receive 1,000.00 dollars 4Ãâ€"1000, which equals to 4,000.00 for a total of 12,000.00-dollar research budget. The ideal characteristic for the participants in this research would be that they are college health college students that have a global point of view so that the date that will be collected from them is from a point of view that has seen more then just one way to live. The participants would also be ideal if they are completely honest about their answers since these are completely confidential items on the questionnaire. An equal amount of men and women would also be ideal. Although, that may be a difficult task it can be established by keeping track of how many men and women have come to take the online questionnaire. There will be 400 student participants will be chosen from America and Croatia. From America the participants will be gathered from Oakland University in Rochester Michigan and from Croatia the participants will be gathered from University of Zagreb in Zagreb. The participants will not be from a specific major study or group but randomly selected individuals. They will all be undergraduate students. There will be a total of 400 participants. Students will be split, 200 from Oakland University and 200 from University of Zagreb. The sampling methods will proceed in the fallowing order. The questionnaire will be taken online on a website make just for this research. The website that will be made by the Oakland Universities IT departments assistance free of charge. The online questionnaire will be taken individually in a room that will be provided for the research. This way the students do will feel more comfortable and less anxious about answering the questionnaire. There will be a research assistant present in that room during the time when participants take the online questionnaire to assist them of they have any questions about how to start the questionnaire and to assist them when they are done. After the participant completes the online questionnaire the research assistant will grant them with a twenty-dollar Starbucks gift card. The Measurements will be done with the questionnaire from method two of the original research study. The questionnaire will be back translated to Croatian. Items 1 to 41 will aid in determine if the participants believe in afterlife and what specific facts they believe about afterlife. How will the afterlife be? What will be in the afterlife? These items are very specific and will with no trouble help distinguish between participants that believe in afterlife verses those participants that do not in America and Croatia and it will help find the specifics that participants believe in about afterlife. Items that do not pertain to research purposes will be taken out and replaced with more appropriate items for the research. The participants will be asked to report their age. Also other items will be added to the questionnaire to fit the need for data consumption for the research of effect of trauma on participants and their beliefs (see appendix 1 for questionnaire items). Items 42 to 55 have been added to assist in finding the right data that is needed. These specific items in the questionnaire will help determine what kind of traumatic even the participant has experienced. Do they believe this has changed how they think and feel the afterlife will be like? Also a consent form and confidentiality agreement will be given to participants to sign. The data analytic plan will consist of Two-way ANOVA. A Two-way ANOVA of variance is an extension to the one-way analysis of variance. There are two independent variables. Some of the assumptions for Two-way ANOVA are that the population from which the samples are obtained must be somewhat normally distributed. The sample must be independent. The variance of population must be equal and the groups must have the same sample size. The two independent variables in Two-way ANOVA are called factors. The idea is that there are two variable, factors, that effect the dependent variable. Each factor will have two or more factors within it. For this research study the two independent variables (factors) are American students and Croatian students. Each of the factors has two other factors in it. In this case study the participants with trauma versus participants with no trauma are the factors within the independent variable. When using Two-way ANOVA the main effect, interaction effect and within variation are also establish. The main effect involves the independent variable one at a time. The interaction effect is the effect one factor has on the other factor. Lastly the within effect is the sum of squared within each treatment group. Two-way ANOVA will provide all the necessary dynamics need to aid in this research in finding and separating the data. The research procedure will consist of the fallowing method to assemble the participants and obtain the data needed. Back-translate the original questionnaire to Croatian. Invite participants to take part in the study via email and announcements by the staff member that are chosen as assistants in this study to their students in class. As participants walk in they will be guided to a computer in the designated room to take the online questionnair. This future direction can serve nurses and doctors and other medical professionals in understanding and communicating better with their patients. Since trauma is nothing new to the health care world it is a major fact that all health care professionals need to advance and keep getting educated about. Trauma has major effects on an individuals and it will have a major effect on what they believe after the traumatic experience. Some people may have come close to death in their traumatic experience. This might have taken them to the thought about what may be next? Is this it? These are just some of the questions people may wonder about. On the other hand people that have ever had major trauma may and may just have a broad belief about what they think the afterlife will be. Research on afterlife would benefit the medical fields in a great way. The nurses and other health care professionals would have a deeper understanding on what their patients that have chronic illnesses are feeling intrinsically. It would also give them a better chance of understanding different culture and know what the patient feels or does not feel comfortable with. This research can also benefit social worker and counselors and educators in connecting with their patients or students in a better way. Education about how traumatic experiences effect how people believe their afterlife will be can also be a factor of why they feel the way they do right now. This research will also open many more doors for future research on sub topics regarding afterlife and other interesting factors that may rise from this. I. Introduction Tourism provides a major economic development opportunity for many countries and a means of improving the livelihoods of its residents. Both the public and private sectors involved in tourism depend on planning to achieve sustainable tourism development that respects the local community, creates appropriate employment, maintains the natural environment, and delivers a quality visitor experience.However, many tourism destinations have pursued development without proper planning and without considering the many impacts such development will bring to the community. This session will discuss tourism planning approaches to achieve the goals and objectives of tourism development for a destination. For the purposes of discussion, a tourism destination can mean an entire country, a region, an island, a resort area, or a single project. The tourism plan is generally a formal document to guide both public sector and private sector development activities.Destination planning inc ludes many different forms of planning such as economicdevelopment planning, land use planning, infrastructure planning ,and social services planning and involves many groups with different perspectives including governments, private investors and developers, and local communities. Balite Falls is nestled in a simple but clean and peaceful resort in the town of Amadeo. The latter is famous for its coffee; many coffee shops get their supply of beans from this town. A stream running through the resort drops down on a small shallow pool before cascading down into a larger and deeper pool at another lower level.The two waterfalls thus formed are the centerpiece of the resort. The waters of the stream and falls are relatively clean. The resort is covered in lush vegetation and is ideal for picnics or a quiet getaway. When we arrived in the morning there were just a few people around, most of them preparing for a picnic and fewer still taking a dip in the pools. As noon approached, howeve r, the place started to get more visitors. The warm and courteous hosts told us that the place really fills up during the summer. We left well before noon to have lunch in nearby Tagaytay.The roads, even the one leading to the resort are well paved all the way, making Balite Falls an ideal place to visit if you are looking for a quieter place away from Tagaytay (just go there on a weekday as the place can fill up during the weekends). There are two falls of Balite. The first one on top is smaller compared to the falls below it. The water in the bigger falls is 18 feet deep. A lot of people dive onto the deep water. I wish I had the courage to do what they did but I’m terribly afraid of deep water. I only stay on 5 feet or less. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the green scenery of Balite Falls.They say that the water in Balite falls has healing effects. Maybe because it’s pristine, pure and free of inorganic materials. The management doesn’t permit the guests to even use soap or shampoo when taking a bath in the falls. II. It used to be a forest with abundant dapdap trees th at bore bright red flower after shedding of leaves. hese flower that crown the trees produce a dazzling glaring light. That locality was originally a barrio of Silang. It was made a town in 1872, and was called amadeo in honor of Prince Amadeo Fernado Maria of Savoy. The inauguration of the town (may 30) coincided with the birthday of the said princes who was born on may 30, 1845 in Turin, Italy, as the second son of the king of spain and Italy. It was given the tagalong name Maypag-ibig (With love) during the Philippines revolution. Amadeo was recognized as a town for twenty-one years. It was reverted as a district of silang, however, in 1902.Local leader including Geronemo Bayot and Primo Villanueva, for the next thirteen years, continued to secure the separation of amadeo from silang. It was not until 1915 during the administration of governor Antero Soriano, that Amadeo regained its independence. How to get there. * Balite falls is in Barangay Halang which is roughly 3km+ north of Amadeo. If you are travelling using private vehicle, you can take the South Luzon Tollway and exit at Exit 33 (Carmona) and head southwest towards Carmona. Near Carmona, take the Carmona Bypass road so you do not have to go through Carmona town proper. This road actually leads all the way to Trece Martires and crosses Aguinaldo Highway (the more popular road to Tagaytay City coming from Zapote). About 7. 7km on this road from the Exit 33, there will be a junction to Silang.Take this road and head for Silang (about 8. 3 km). At Silang, and at every major junction in Silang, you may need to ask directions from locals which way to Barrio Luksuhin. If you can't find help, just follow the major streets of Silang with a southwest general direction until you hit the wide nicely paved roads of Aguinaldo Highway. * From Lawton ride a bus bound Trece/Indang (Ca vite,) ask the driver to drop you in Manggahan. Look for the 7-11 store inj front of Mcdo. You will find the jeepneys that will take you to Balite, Amadeo. Ask the driver to drop you to Balite, Falls. The road to Barrio Luksuhin actually starts from a crossing point along Aguinaldo Highway on the section that now bypasses Silang. Follow this road to Luksuhin, through Luksuhin, Calubcob, Lit-lit and up to the crossing in Banay-Banay (about 4 km total). At Banay-Banay, turn right northwestward while carefully taking note of your odometer reading at the intersection. As of travelogue time there are no clear landmarks near the road junction that leads to Balite so we will rely on measuring the distance from the Banay-Banay intersection. Go 1. 3 km northwestward then you will see a small dirt road on the left.Turn left on this dirt road and follow this road for about 1 km to the end. On both sides of this dirt road would be coffee farm/plantation. The end of the road will be a sudden des cent to a clearing which serves as the parking lot for visitors to the falls. The falls would just be a few meters south of the clearing behind the trees. III. Socio cultural Economic Pattern Religion In line with national statistics, the majority (70%) of the population are Roman Catholic while adherents of the Aglipayan Church account for 20% and the Iglesiani Cristo account for 4% of the population. A Chavacano community ( family of Spanish-based ).Chavacano is a Spanish-based creole language and known in linguistics as Philippine Creole Spanish. Initially, and as a means to express themselves, native speakers mixed Spanish with their respective dialect: Tagalog in Cavite. Now used almost exclusively in Cavite City and coastal Ternate, Cavite Chabacano enjoyed its widest diffusion and greatest splendor in Spanish and American period of Filipino history, when newspapers and literary outputs flourished. During the Spanish regime, it was prevalent for Spaniards, both peninsulares and insulares, to use the creole in their negotiations with the townfolk.Cavite Chabacano was spoken with relative ease because it was essentially a simplification of Castillan morphology patterned after Tagalog syntax. Gradually and naturally, it acquired the sounds present in the Spanish phonological system, which had the authocthonous phonetics as core. After World War II, creole Spanish speakers wi thin the capitol of the archipelago vanished. Languages The main languages spoken are Tagalog, Chabacano and English. Chabacano, sometimes spelled as Chavacano, is a creole originally spoken by majority of the Cavitenos that lived in Cavite City and Ternate after the arrival of the Spaniards three centuries ago.Around 30000 Cavitenos speak Chabacano. Due to Cavite's proximity to Metro Manila a large number of people migrated from farther provinces, resulting in a significant usage of Bikol, Cebuano and Ilokano. Culture and traditions Cavitenos are very proud of their majestic and interesting cuture and traditions. Aside from the celebrations of town fiestas, the province of Cavite celebrates festivals as forms of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest and in honor of its patron saints.Some of these festivals are also observed in honor of the historical legacies passed from one generation to another generation. In fact, the province fetes the renowned Kalayaan Festival which is given a great social importance in commemoration of the heroism of its people. The province has very rich culture, traditions and fiesta celebrations such as Mardicas which is a war dance held in Ternate town and Karakol or street dancing with a fluvial procession which is usually held in coastal towns. The place needs to put also a mini grocery or even a mini restaurant. The Balite Falls Resort also needs to put mini cottages in the sides of the resort so people can left their things there.Balite Falls needs to put more comfort rooms. Balite Falls was owned by the Local Government. The local Government needs to give pay attention and needs to put a big fund on this place that the things that needs to develop will be well developed. VIII. Conclusion We therefore conclude that the Balite Falls must be recognized as one of the best tourist spots in our country because of having a good view in the place, can breathe a fresh air, beautiful waterfall in the falls.
